Beaches within easy reach of Borah Farm

Numerous little coves, once the haunt of smugglers, pepper the rugged coastline of West Cornwall, hidden jewels waiting to be discovered. Here is a selection of the better-known beaches.

Gwenver Beach: A long curving beach reached by many steep steps, often visited by dolphins. Good for swimming and surfing.

Lamorna Cove: Sandy beach at low tide, but the Lamorna Cove Café offers the perfect place to wait and feast while the tide ebbs.

Porthchapel Beach:A sunny sheltered cove with a beach of fine white sand, if you’re up to the rock scramble down the cliffs to the beach.

Porthcurno Beach:Another beautiful white sand beach, more accessible and popular with families.

Portheras Beach:A secret beach between Morvah and Pendeen, known mainly to locals – but we’ll tell you how to find it!

Porthgwarra Beach: Small, secluded beach close to Porthcurno.

Prussia Cove Beach: Secluded olde-worlde, dog-friendly rocky beach with small sandy coves at low tide, near Penzance.
